There are all sorts of places online you can find this information if you just do a little searching.
Wikipedia is a place to start.
But I will help with a few of these for you.
Windmill – the first record of a windmill (to power an organ) was described in the 1st century AD.
Blood circulation – the valves of the heart were discovered by a physician of the Hippocratean school around the 4th century BC (however their function was not properly understood then). The 2nd century AD, Greek physician, Galen, knew that blood vessels carried blood.
Planets – the heliocentric theory was first advanced by Aristotle in the 4th century BC (it wasn’t until Galileo and other astronomers in the 17th century had telescopes that the idea became the accepted theory).
Relativity – it wasn’t discovered. A discovery means finding something that was already there (like discovering the Amazon river or the Grand Canyon). Einstein’s theory of special relativity was published in 1905, and his general relativity theory was published in 1915.
Evolution – again, it wasn’t discovered, it was a theory formulated by Charles Darwin between for over 10 years until it was published in 1959 ("On the Origin of Species").
I’ll let you do some of your own homework and research the other questions for yourself (the point of homework is to learn how to learn, not to get the answers given to you by someone else – you have to do the work or you don’t own the knowledge).
ME DONT KNOW!!!
Hi. None of these were invented in a single year.
Time to put down the sax and hit the books, dear. It won’t take you as long to find these facts as you think, and when you are through, you will have learned something.
Hi, Linda June. Darwin published _Origin of Species_ in 1859, I think, rather than 1959. Right???
