There’s no question that one of the major and deciding points in the upcoming election is the issue of the economy. One of the proposed solutions to fixing this problem in part and helping the economy at the same time is shifting towards a greater emphasis on green renewable energy. It’s inevitable that we’ll be able to live off of our finite sources of energy forever, and it’s costing us a fortune to import the ones we currently use from overseas. The transition is coming, but you can make the simple jump ahead of the curve and reap the rewards of green renewable energy today.

The sun and the wind are the two most practical sources of green renewable energy to harness for the average homeowner. Using solar cells and windmills, you can easily generate enough natural electricity to cut back on 80% of your power bill. If you live in an especially windy area or install plenty of solar cells, you could completely knock out your power bill altogether. As the average electricity bill each month was estimated at around $200, that’s roughly $2500 you could be saving and better spent elsewhere each year.

As I said, the government is pushing towards implementing natural electricity on a much larger scale. As that’s a ways off from happening on a larger scale, in the meantime they offer rewards to those who do use it in the form of considerable tax breaks. This is something you should keep in mind come next tax season.

It’s also possible to create more natural electricity than you use in a given month, and you can sell back that abundance to the power company for a profit. As you’re helping other people rely on less finite sources of energy, as well, you stand to earn even more tax breaks by doing this. It all depends on your conditions and how much natural electricity you generate.
