I found a home that is close ro being complete and was build green and completely sustainable.
I am wondering if I can get an FHA loan for it since it uses rainwater collection (5000 gallon tanks) and uses Eloo toilets and enviro septic? Can I get waivers if this is a common practice in my area? I love close to Austin, TX and they are really on the green and sustainable forefront.
I really like this place and would appreciate any info.
Thanks

I was wondering if I powered down my bundle, would it save energy? I know that if you unplug appliances when not in use, it helps. So would this help the cost of my electric bill, if I powered down those I mentioned? Thank you in advance.

Every single wind farm in the UK is backed up 100% with real power producing technology, for example if we build a wind farm to produce power to 5 million homes we also need them 5 million homes to have a backup form of power like nuclear or real power stations.
So in truth wind turbines have not decreased co2 at all. How can we be so foolish. Who is getting rich off these subsidies?

My parents are very conscious of energy bills and even shut off the water heaters and only turn them on when taking a shower. Is this necessary? Most places I know keep them on 24/7 without a problem. How much energy are they really saving by doing this practice?

I lost the manual for the car and really need to change the air filter.
I bought the correct air filter at Auto Zone but I don’t know how to change it. I know a little about cars, but please be specific.
Thanks
Thanks

I know this might seem a tad odd, (considering that most people are looking to save money…) but I’m doing a research project and I need to know some energy efficient items costing either from the 0-,000 price ranger or higher. I’ve spent quite some time searching, but have come up blank. If you could refer me to a website, or just answer the question directly, I would really appreciate it.

I have been doing research for quite some time now, and decided it was time to live off grid. I am looking for 2-20 acres of raw land suitable for growing crops(or has a nice view). If anyone knows a good source I would be much obliged. Thanks. And happy trails!

Well, my central air which I’ve had for about seven years just isn’t cooling my house anymore. By that I mean, air is flowing out of the registers well enough, but the air coming out feels like room temperature. It’s very hot in my house right now.
Do you have to buy some sort of chemical every few years? I’ve never done that and owned it for about seven years. Thanks in advance!

You know you’re having a bad year when you serve up back-to-back home runs to extreme slap hitters in Francisco Cervelli and Brett Gardner (who both seem to have a power surge lately), especially with pelting rain and wind blowing in from left field at 1:45 in the morning, to make the score 5-3 Yankees. It’s too bad, since Buck Showalter really wanted this game even after it had become an official game, looks like he got his wish lol. I guess he needs a tissue too.
P.S. Someone’s probably going to come and whine about the short porch in Yankee Stadium.
