Why do my radiators go off when I turn my thermostat down?

I have just had central heating installed. I have a mechanical honeywell thermostat. If I turn this down by just one degree the thermostat will click and the radiators start to cool. If I want to get the heating back on I have to turn the thermostat up slightly, is this normal?

Yes, it’s reached the degree you are asking it to reach. It comes back on when you turn the thermostat up or the house cools enough to sense the need to raise the temperature.
Yes,Do ya see how stuff works now ????
