What is the criteria for an office building to be “green certified” in Nevada?

I’m looking for the criteria used to determine if an office building can be called "green certified" and how the process of certification works.

Nevada doesn’t certify buildings as green but does recognize LEED certification, according to the state’s Web site.
LEED certification is granted through the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
There are multiple levels of LEED certification - based on just how sustainable your building practices are.
There are a TON of requirements that mean you have to plan long before you start building, keeping in mind everything from the materials and building style, to permeable parking lots and energy efficient systems.
There are different LEED standards for different types of building, from schools to new businesses.
