What effect will alternative energy have on the planet?

If the world were to use wind, solar, geothermal, etc. power sources, what effect would it have on the planet?

For one thing it will turn the economies around.Most of the solar panels we produce are shipped overseas. Just think if they get more and more efficient.Plus we will need more electricity with electric cars . More production of electricity will keep the costs down put money in consumers hands to spend to increase efficiency.Win! Win! Win! Add to the fact with the demand going the way it is we are Finely going after New Technology.This is what the world wants ,needs Win! Win! Hopefully the global warming will go back into balance
Clean air, healthier people, possibly less cancer, possibly an end to or slow down of Global warming.
None . We presently use about 17 million barrels a day. I think that all the alternative fuels together is less than 1%.
if every one had alternative energy sources there would be less pollution better air and less wars for fuel or energy. but if there is to much depletion in co2 plants could die out. but i think we produce enough by talking.
