solar and wind are the future… eventually, whether it’s in 50 years or 500 years, the oil WILL run out.
(then the saudis can eat their sand, for all i care.)
I think they should get more, its more expensive than oil.
No, we all actually benefit form the oil industry.
No. Oil is a proven energy commodity. When solar and wind companies can prove they are VIABLE replacements, then maybe. Let the free market take its course.
None should get help from the government.
Lets see – the subsidy for a windmill or solar panel is well over half the cost
the TAX on a gallon of gasoline is also well over the cost
so OIL is taxed 4,000 times more than solar and wind – and guess what – Oil still kicks butt

One thing is for sure, solar and wind don’t add up to near the importance of oil. At the very least government could give consumers incentives to utilize solar and wind. As technology improves and the price of oil rises solar and wind will become more important.
Absolutely not.
Oil provides energy and contributes to society. Wind and solar contribute only to school science fairs and hobbyists. Why should our tax dollars be wasted on someone’s hobby?

None of them should get any support. If you can’t sustain you business without the gov’t as a crutch, you should go out of business for being a bad businessman.
If solar and wind were the dominate ones we probably would not have to face the pollution in the gulf right now. How much is that going to cost the taxpayers vs supporting solar and wind companies?
Why do we feel the need to support all these lame groups and companies. We tend to pay of buy off as many people, groups or countries we can. It must stop, we can’t afford it.
I believe U R right on about solar & wind being true alternatives. But that won’t happen,@ least until we,the American people will have finally overthrown ZOG & its allies 1st.
