Usually as temperatures decrease, the atmospheric pressure increases. This is because an increase in atmospheric pressure indicates drier air and as temperatures decrease, less water vapor is able to be present in the atmosphere. An increase in atmospheric pressure indicates a drop in atmospheric pressure because this means more water vapor is able to be in the atmosphere in that temperature. As stormy weather approaches, barometers (Air pressure) begins to fall. As wind speeds pick up, you can expect a drop in atmospheric pressure and as they decrease, you can expect an increase in atmospheric pressure.
