IS THIS TRUE? If America did this we could pay off the 10 trillion dollar debt and raise our economy?
What if I told you there was a way to never pay for hydro and for gasoline to cost 1/4 of what it is now… this new wave would bring in over 100 billion in revenue and deter over 100 billion of tax payers money… between 250-500 billion dollars here we are talking about which could go to free health care and putting solar panels and wind power and research into underwater turbines and other projects…
This would give us easily over 1 million new jobs and would give us fuel, clothing, food exports and would produce oxygen from the CO we let out.
The only reason why we do not have this implemented is for one good reason… it would cause people to think and make us not want to fight in wars or with each other…
I’m talking about the legalization, selling, and taxation of marijuana and hemp!

So why else aside for wanting us to fight, make the #1 profitable business in america which is pharmicuticals even more profitable, and not think about the world around us would the government make this medicine illegal?

I do agree with the decriminalization of recreational drugs. Be careful about hyping pot. It does have some downs, but not as many as tobacco. The emphysema risk is real, and it sure does reduce ambitions. Probably no worse than alcohol, however. If you decriminalize pot you are asking to have the feds step in to regulate and tax it. Probably better than locking up kids for taking a couple of tokes though. The reason it’s illegal now is that they can’t detect use and it’s so easy to grow they can’t tax it. There’s also some residual fear of the unknown too. I think your $ numbers are a little optimistic, but we should not be locking up kids for toking.
If it were made legal, competition would drive the price down, and unless the taxes were very high, not as much revenue would be generated. If it were legal, a lot of people would probably grow their own, and not have to pay the tax at all. Revenue would be generated for the government, but it wouldn’t be enough to make water free, gasoline cheap, pay off the debt, etc. Marijuana does have medical uses such as appetite stimulation for cancer patients and chronic pain relief, but legalizing it would have far reaching social effects. A lot of time and money would have to be put into creating a ton of new laws, like how old you have to be to use it, where you can use it, can you use it on the job, etc. There’s positives and negatives, I don’t really have a strong opinion either way.
I am in favour of reducing penalties for simple possesion.
BUT, only a stoner thinks marijuana will save the world. Seriously, hemp is perfectly legal in many nations, yet they have not gotten the million new jobs, billions to spend on whatever you think is worth spending billions on, not any of the other crazy benefits you claim.
Making these insane claims does not help your position, rather makes you appear a simple stoner.
