Is there a healthier alternative to energy drinks?
I am trying to ween myself off of those Lo-Carb Monster energy drinks and was wondering if there was a healthier alternative to them… besides more sleep, LOL. I work crazy hours and need some type of energy boost in the morning. Any ideas?
Thanks. ![]()

Try an Apple in the morning or some orange juice, juices boost your electrolytes and an Apple in the morning is equivalent to a cup of coffee as far as waking you up in the morning. Or even some gum or mints can wake you up. Not to mention eating a balanced breakfast is the best but in this hectic society it is often hard, I know. But breakfast is the most important meal of the day, it is your fuel. you wouldn’t start off on some long trip with only 1/3 a tank of gas would you? well that is like going without breakfast. But trust me i know how hard it is to wake up in time to eat. I usually would rather get those few extra minutes of Zs and get in my shower than make sure I got my breakfast. But there are plenty of options out there besides energy drinks. I am glad you are trying to get away from them. Keep up the good work! Good luck
water.
I make my own smoothies. I use green tea, soy protein, bananas and low fat yogurt. Sometimes I add blueberries or strawberries. Add a Splenda if you like it extra sweet.

Water with an alkalizing agent in it, helps to balance your body’s pH acid/alkalinity and regulates dehydration and tiredness.
available from most health food stores are lots of different products that alkalize the water.
Instead of drinking energy drinks, you might want to try something different. Yes, getting enough sleep will definitely boost your energy. There is a product called Prime Dreamz and no they are not sleeping pills. They are made with natural ingredients to aid you in sleep. There are five stages of sleep but I am not going to go in detail but there are people who sleep over 12 hours a day and still feel tired and sluggish. Well, Dreamz will promote the 4th and 5th stages of sleep. I’ve been using it for the past few months and I feel great without having to drink any coffee or any energy drinks for that matter. I hope this help.
The alternative that I use to energy drinks is an all natural fruit juice called MonaVie. It is a nutritional beverage made up on 19 different fruits from around the world, and the main fruit is the acai berry (you may have heard about it on Oprah or Rachael Ray or the news).
Since it is all natural, it is MUCH healthier than the sugars and additives and caffeine that comes in energy drinks. And since it is a drink full of antioxidants, it helps to give me energy in a natural way.
I started taking it a year ago. At first I noticed that I was having more energy throughout the day, especially at times when I was usually tired. I also noticed that I started sleeping better, and I was feeling healthier (which feeling I didn’t get after having an energy drink). Because of this, I was just feeling better overall.
It has something that has really worked for me, and has helped me to stay healthier. I would recommend it to anyone as an alternative to energy drinks (a very nutritional and healthy alternative at that)
