If wind power is such a great way to create electricity why does it need tax dollars to break even?
Not: Why shouldnt oil companies be able to write off drilling expenses? I get to write off my business expenses.

Tax dollars and 25 years to break even. Not a real good return on your investment, because after 25 years, you need to do major repairs to your windmill and wait another 25 years to get that money back. But you can sleep good at night and pat yourself on the back that you saved the environment unless of course you think of all the coal that was burned to build your metal windmill in the first place.
Yeah its a great alternative…as long as the wind is blowing.
The full cost of wind power looks like about 20 times the cost of power from fossil fuels. For one thing, every wind-turbine needs a complete backup generating system for when the wind isn’t blowing.
especially since its a mature technology
PETA does not like the windmills because birds are killed when they fly into them.
If oil and gas is such a great way to power the world, why does it need tax dollars?
Why do oil companies need subsidies?
I agree, there isn’t much involvement from the private sector. One would think if it is this competitive and inexpensive, the private sector would be all over it?
But can you put a price tag on a clean environment?
…because government, and not the private sector is driving the effort to implement this alternative energy source as part of their misguided "green" agenda.
It’s generally uneconomical (which never stopped liberals), and it kills/injures wildlife (definitely not a liberal pursuit), and is unsightly (but as long as it’s in someone else’s backyard who cares), right Libbies?
Oil companies get subsidies they don’t need (90 billion in profit per quarter). Wind power is a new technology and it needs to develop. Do you recommend we abandon any tech that isn’t immediately perfected?
