a natural gas furnace will be your best choice not only is it cheaper but also cleaner
Hands down, if you have nat. gas available, it’s your best choice. Don’t worry too much about the brand name, even the low dollar high efficiency units are pretty good today….stay away from multi stage or variable speed systems. Keep it simple and you’ll have a lot less trouble down the road. Do your best to find a professional installer, as the installation can make the most difference in whether the system gives long, trouble free efficient service. I wouldn’t discount other units, but I’ve installed most brands over the years, and I have no problem with Goodman, or Payne, which are less expensive than the major brands, but, I think, every bit as good.
Hope this helps.
