Electricity went out and now digital thermostat will not work.?

My eletricity went out and came back on. Now my thermostat reading is not working. Is there anyway to reset it? I am seriously cold!
I think the thermostat is electric? I don’t see any place on it for batteries. Also, I use natural gas for heat.

The problem may not be the thermostat at all. Assuming it is a gas or oil fired forced air furnace, It may be the furnace has blown a fuse or needs to be re-set. The fuse and/or reset button should be on the side of the furnace
yes, there should be a reset button or the like. also check and replace the batteries if necessary , check the instructions. if there is a reset on you furnace, try hitting that also
Those things have BACK UP BATTERIES in them… try replacing the dead battery and it should work
Absolutely, there is a reset button if it is a digital thermostat. if you can’t see it from the outside of the t-stat or under the cover door, then you will have to get the t-stat off the wall to look behind it for the reset.
Make sure there is no gas or fuel smell before doing this.
If you smell some thing leave the place, and call service from next building if in an appartment and make sure the other people in the building also get out.
If it is safe to stay in ythe home or appartment then first.
Look for reset button, if there is non then try this But before you do any thing please read this asnswer completely.
You can try this.
Put the thermostat to off position take out back up battery, if it is non rechargeable just replace it.
But before putting new one in, take a wooden pencil with erase on the other end use erase to rub off all contact points, the process is called depolarization. Now install new battery.
Now if it is a rechargeable battery, then you need to depolarize the battery and the terminal, just like in the above procedure.
They make many kind and if it has a plug then put the battery on a table, and you will use a thin wire and push it in the one of the holes in the plug and now rub the wire with eraser, do the same to depolarize the other hole. Depolarize all other contacts, and reinstall the battery and reset the thermostat, by just turning it on and selecting the temp. Run it on the manual for few hours say a day or so, then reset the automatic program. Follow the procedure, Hope you have the owners manual to do the programing and to find, the location of battery and the pressure point to open the batery compartment.
Tips No. 1:
On sale buy a few electric heaters and keep then handy.
If this fails then go out to a hardware store and buy a heater or two right away and use it asneeded to keep warm and keep the place from feezing.
If you call the heating service or the land lord they may not be able to service you right away, because of back log created by the outage. You may have some defficuly finding the heater also, as the stores may have non left to sell.
Make sure there is no gas or fuel smell before doing this.
You may have electrinic ignition in that case it may have frozen up (formed ice on the contact, in that case you just need to put a heater near the central unit and leav it on for few hours.

I keep my house at 55 degree F and use auxilary heater in two most used places and keep them at at 66 degrees.
What country are you in? what is the make of thermostat? what kind of heating system do you have? more info needed.
I suspect you have two problems. One is a dead battery in the thermostat.
Check all you circuit breakers and fuses. If they are ok you may need to press the reset button on the furnace. There is usually a red button on the furnace. It may even have instructions if it is a modern furnace.
Most likely only the analog electricity has come back on and the digital electricity is still off. If it doesn’t start working soon try pressing the reset button on the thermostat. You’ll need something like a small paper clip to push the button. The button is recessed and virtually invisible but it’s there.
