Does having electric towers near homes dangerous to cause health problems?

Hi. My family and I are interested in buying a new home. We have found an amazing but it is close to an electric tower. Are there any health problems that I should be concerned about? Could the tower possibly cause cancer? Thanks.

Living near an electrical tower creates no more of a cancer risk then living away from one.
I always heard it was a myth, kind of like when they said cell phones caused brain tumors, but that’s not true.
There have been no conclusive evidence to show that high tension power lines (the ones running on the large metal towers) cause cancer or other health problems. Most scientists say that the amount of electromagnetic radiation produced by these towers is negligible compared to the EM you get from, say, using your computer or microwave.
That doesn’t meant that there aren’t still those who believe that the excess EM radiation can disrupt the body’s natural systems, leading to extra health issues.
Do search on the net. Back in the 80’s in Sweden they did a study on this. They felt that it did have a very small effect on some poeple.
Only in the USA is this study discounted.
There is an instrument that can measure the amount of electromagnetic force you could be exposed to at this new home.
Try to see if the electric uttility in your area would measure it for you.
Than you would have some peace of mind about it.
