If you have one already they would work fine in an RV if you have the space for it. To buy one that is another matter most that I have seen run more then a couple hundred dollars and therefore, for the money other electric heaters in the $50 and under price will perform better. I have a small 1200 watt space heater I use in my camper I got for $5. in a yard sale. When I run the generator or I am at a full hookup site I will use it otherwise I run my propane heater the camper came with.

Good luck to you, I just had my pay and benefits cut.

Electric "portable fireplaces" are basically an electric heater with a fancy decoration.

IF your propane heater is a ducted type, (found on larger motor homes,) the electric heater will NOT be as efficient at heating the entire home, but will work well in a "limited" area, in part depending on how well the home is insulated.

I assume you are NOT running a generator to supply power. If you are using a generator, then the propane heater is cheaper to run as well as more efficient "overall".
