Democrats vs. Republicans?
I don’t consider myself either a Democrat or a Republican (and I disagree with the stated opinion of Texas – my uncle who holds a PhD lives there), but I received the following email from someone and am wondering what other people’s opinions are on this view:
Republicans. Look what they have given us!!! And McCain has followed and backed Bush 95 percent of the time. The banks are failing, a third of this country can’t afford health insurance, we have been dragged into Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and now Russia because of Georgia. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have been killed, almost five thousand American soldiers are dead and another seventy thousand maimed and injured, legless, armless and losing their minds, a million and a half Iraqis are living in refugee camps, American money is worth less than all the industrial countries and China owns us because of the debt we are into them. Obama? read his credentials again. The truth is Midwesterners simply don’t want a black man in the white house. All of Barak’s money came from the best seller he wrote about his father. McCain was born into great wealth and left his cancer stricken wife (who lost a breast) to marry the heiress of Budweiser beer. They own a Jet and seven houses..four of which they haven’t paid house taxes on in California for the past four years. And you think McCain who is anti-homosexual rights..would be the best man?? Midwesterners need to read, and to understand politics. The Republicans? Just look at what they’ve done to this country!! Bush, Cheney..that whole crowd, sits on enormous wealth made even more huge from Halliburton rebuilding Iraq. Unfortunately after all these years the majority of Iraqis still have no electricity or running water. Halliburton, on the other hand, has made billions. How’s your salary? If you didn’t have medical with your job you couldn’t afford insurance. No, give me Obama!! And Biden..who incidentally, has a net worth of a hundred and fifty thousand dollars. What’s McCain’s net worth? How much do you think your heating oil is going to cost you this winter?? And how about the gas for your car? While the oil companies are having the highest profits in history. Thanks to the Republican bullshit over the past eight years (and then some ) I have lost some money in my grandchildren’s trust fund. Not a lot so far, a few hundred dollars here and there, but it really pisses me off that these kids, who have little for their future, have to lose money while the Republican CEOs from the brokerage houses will bail out with millions. And you ask me why I am voting for Obama? I’m not certain what he can do but I am certain that McCain will simply continue the Bush-Cheney wasteful legacy. When Clinton left the white house this country was billions in the black. Now, of course, we are a trillion dollars in the hole thanks to that stupid war in Iraq, and now Pakistan, Afghanistan and maybe even Russia to say nothing of supporting Israel which, of course, gives us nothing. And now some old Billionaire Jerk from Texas (land of morons) is trying to sell us windmills for the wind power.

in case they didn’t notice? the only reason bush hasn’t gotten anything done is because that moron nazi, i mean nancy pallusi (spelling?) hasn’t let him pass anything!!!! so blaim your own effing party morons, the more i read these questions the more angry i get, makes me want to do something about this obama problem myself… like campaign for mccain or something!!! gosh dang haha

Ok i like this kind of question under Republican we have Bush and Herbert Hoover the two worst economic catastrophe’s our nation has ever had! Do not let either of these men any where near your checking account or all the money will be gone guaranteed! Then there is NIXON the man that woulda coulda been impeached! But he decided to resign and take the easy road out. then we have Reagan sure he looks like he beat the old Soviet Union but a closer look and we have the Iran Contra affair. Then there was the Iran Iraq war where we were arming both sides!
Oh he also got Bin Laden started on his long career. Paybacks are a b*tch as we found out in 2001. Then there is Bush SR. The first Gulf war. But a much closer look at the war it was all started on a lie told to the Iraqi government. We actually gave them the green light to invade Kuwaitt then we told the world they are monsters for having the nerve to invade Kuwaitt and the rest is history. The poor Iraqi people have been paying for it ever since. Millions dead or starved to death. Their nation turned into a war zone. All because of a lie told during the first George Bush administration. Ford And Eisenhower were OK
The Democrats The worst would have to be Jimmy Carter. but the one highlight was how he took two sworn enemies and had them sign a peace accord and to this day that treaty still stands. The Camp David Accord between Israel and Egypt. You have Franklin Roosevelt. Who basically saved our nation first economically through the great depression and well a republican was in office when it hit and then led us through World War 2 and helped defeat Nazi Germany and Japan and Italy. You have Truman who introduced the nuclear bomb and helped defeat Japan which was vital because the soviet union had entered the war and we did not want a soviet japan..
you have JFK and he started us on the road to space travel and helped stop a world war. Then you have lyndon B johnson and well he was so so. Over all you would have to say we had more republican Presidents but we were far better served by the Democratic Presidents
