I have a 1994 Plymouth Voyager and I need to replace the thermostat. I found where the thermostat is located and it looks like it should just unscrew, but it doesn’t appear to be that easy. How do I get the old one out and replace it?

give a tap with a small hammer and screw driver
yeah, follow the top radiator hose to the motor, thats where the thermostat is, in the housing the house attaches to. 2 bolts. Be sure to pay attention to the direction the thermostat is facing so you put it back the same way. Rule of thumb, The bell side that comes to a point always goes towards the radiator. (sticks out of the motor)
WD40 should do the trick!! dont force it, or else you will cross-thread. All thermostats unscrew, when you get it loose, lube the new thermostat before you put it in. You have to remember that it is probably full of crap from the antifreeze
