Build a wind power generator and save money on your electric bills.
Remember to think about the electric; heavy wires, bigger breakers, bigger breaker box, bigger main, bigger entrance. The power co. would probably supply a bigger meter and service.?? Check what you have and what you need BEFORE you start. Just hooked a heat pump with electric backup. It took three 50 Amp cir.
you can have electric heat coils installed in your plenum and use the furnace as an air handler, not what i would recommend personally, but whatever floats your boat
2 ways to do this 1 change out your air handler furnace section with one designed with electric heat that matches your central air if you have central air conditioning on this unit.. or do what the other guys suggested by having someone install electric resistance heat coils and controls in your plenum….the safest thing to do is to change out the air handler… If you already have central air you do not have to redo your ducts or replace the outside unit for your ac to just replace the air handler to electric heat….also you must have a 200 amp circuit breaker box in your home in order to do this to handle the load of the electric heat…if you just have a 100 amp box i would recommend you upgrade to 200 amps..
