blown insulation is good, but you need to make sure there is no wall breaks (a 2×4 running between the studs in the wall). The best soundproofing material is blueboard insulation which is a urthane type (its very expensive) Id go with blown but check local codes.
All my walls are blow in and it is solid! And quite! I even have it in my roof and my house is great. Good luck!
ther new sheet rock out that’s sound board its high dollar but works real well might check on this
blown insulation will insulate you’re walls OK for a while the problem with this is that with time it will settle do to vibration from sound traffic and yes even you walking across the floor and as it settles it becomes more dense or solid which reduces r value now if you don’t want to remove interior of walls try checking you’re local yellow pages for someone who does the foam injection will insulate better because it will fill each cavity fully and wont settle in walls blown insulation is best to remain in the attic and even then over time it will settle and you’ll have to add more
