I just got a mobile home and the electric in the bathroom doesn’t work but all the other rooms do. What could cause this? We looked at the breaker box and it seemed fine?

Im considering the purchase of a wind turbine for my more remote home, its a little farmhouse, but the turbine only needs to power a normal refrigerator/maybe 1-2 lights. My fridge has about a 600-700 watt consumption, so my questions are, 1. Does anyone have suggestions on what model to get/from where, 2. Is it worth getting a 1kw wind turbine? and lastly, 3. how much would it cost and are there michigan incentives for buying one in order to cheapen the expense.

I think im looking at a 5-10k purchase. But, then again, i just thought about it, so, im not saying this is what ill do, i’d just like to get a general idea at what the purchase would entail

I think leaving it on would be better. My logic is that if we were to switch the AC on again (after only 15 mins) it takes up more electricity since it has to regenerate itself again

Okay summer is coming and i want to buy an outside shade for my porch. My porch is a regular small apt. 2nd floor porch.

I’m wondering where can i place the shade to be more energy efficient. Right out side my door? or by the railing so when i put it down my porch is still accesible and will look like a sun room. by the railing is where other people place theirs.
my goal is to avoid the sun’s heat from entering my apt, when the sun goes down i get direct sunlight heat and my apt temp raises.

I am going to create a solar powered toy for kids under 14 and am searching for ideas. Any input would be appreciated.

I ran out of oil last weekend and since it was the weekend all of the oil companies were closed. I had about 10 gallons left in my tank. My question is could I have ran over to the gas station, filled up some gas cans with diesel fuel and used that to make it til Monday? Would it matter if the 10 gal of heating oil already in there mixed with the diesel fuel or is that okay? Serious answers please.
actually heating oil is .88 here and diesel is only .69.

Hi i was wondering what is the cheapest method to cook meals. Microwave or Electric Stovetop? and the Microwave or Oven. What i cook are mostly canned soups,speghetti,chilie and other. to save on my electric bill should i nuke it or oven/stove it. thanks.
