what electric generators can i buy for my home?

i would like to get the machine that is at least 2000 0r 3000 kw

I currently own either a 1F56W-444 or 1F56-444 thermostat from White Rodgers and I want to get a digital programmable thermostat. Which replacement should I look at getting for a 24v system?

More information about it is here:

http://www.emersonclimate.com/en-US/products/thermostats/dont_know_your_model_number/1e56-1f56/Pages/1e56-1f56.aspx

I just found out that it is a 1F56-444.

It’s a joke! First, there’s the debate on whether or not there is actually MORE energy used to process the corn to get the ethanol than the ethanol is worth. At best, right now there is a 1:1.2 ration of energy in to energy out. That’s not even close for something to run a nation on, especially a culture that uses the most energy per capita in the world.

Second, there isn’t enough farm land in the world to plant enough corn to supply enough energy to the people of america. We’re talking automobiles, homes, factories, businesses…we’d probably need 5 planets of corn with continuous cultivation.

Third, there is the whole nitrogen problem. Corn is a very inefficient plant at taking in nitrogen. Nitrogen has to be manufactured and poured all over the fields so that the corn grows fast and large enough. This requires even more energy, more pollution, and a big mess if corn plantations continue to spread with this new demand.
And please, don’t even bring up palm oil…if you think that global warming is impacted by man, then using palm oil as an alternative energy may be the thing that kills us all.
And don’t forget about all of the energy required to grow and cultivate corn…you don’t just plant corn seeds and watch it grow…corn is one of the more difficult plants to grow. It requires huge fields to be plowed, machines to plant it, machines to cultivate it…all of those machines run on fossil fuels, and if you want them to run on ethanol, you’re going to be getting even less out of the yield if you factor all of that in.

Or, we can do it all by hand and see a fraction of the yield.
Kerry, shut the fuck up. Ethanol is a type of alcohol, that comes from CORN. That is what I’m talking about. Ethanol. Not alcohol. I never mentioned alcohol in my post. And ethanol is the alternative energy source that is being presented and marketed by two of the top leaders in the United States. And shut the fuck up about other forms of energy…I am asking why anyone thinks ETHANOL is a solution, because it’s such a hot topic.

And yes, I know why it is being marketed. Corporations like Monsanto and Archer Daniels Midland are making a fortune off of this. Monsanto owns patents on the corn genome that is grown in this country, producing corn that only produces sterile seed, forcing farmers to rebuy fertile seeds from them annually. And this is why farmers in Mexico can no longer afford to grow their own corn.

considering the purchase of a cordless electric mower
that charges of off ACcurrent . Would like to buy a small PV panel and charge the batteries directly (DC-DC)_

protecting our home in event electric goes out?

We just recently lost our electric here for over 24 hours due to high winds.. some people in the area still dont have electricity! Fortunantly, its not cold out.

Our home is completely run on electric.. no gas! Our water is also supplied by a well. If we did loose our electrict in the middle of winter, we could pack ourselves up and go to my parents, even if they loose their power too, they at least have natural gas to heat their home.

What could I do to protect my home tho, should we loose electric in the winter? How to prevent pipes from freezing and busting, etc?
we cant "leave the faucets run" because we have well-water.. it takes our ELECTRIC pump to keep water running.
the expence of "buying a generator" and "hiring an electrition" is not a feasable option. If the electric went out here often, it would be worth considering, but it rarely happens.
Jerry where I live, we dont have a natural gas line.. when we installed the new furnace the options were either electric or propane tank. We decided to go with electric as it would be cheaper to heat with. Well water has nothing to do with being rich either.. there’s no public water lines out here!

A guy came to my front door saying that he was from DTE Energy of Michigan…and that he could keep my home heating costs the same each month for 5 years…is this a scam?…I know that other Independent Gas Companies have been running this scam in the past…anyone out there heard of this thru DTE of Michigan?…thanks…

Each time I see the Dallas skyline at night, this building is a major landmark. I just wonder what the building is.

This bespoke doghouse is being built on an exclusive estate near Cirencester in Gloucestershire.

Inside, the dogs will sleep on sheepskin-lined, temperature-controlled beds, soothe their aches in an 18in-deep spa, howl along to a £150,000 sound system and watch dog-friendly programmes on a 52-inch plasma TV.

Automatic dispensers will ensure that chilled, filtered water and deluxe dry food are always available.

The two dogs will each have a bedroom with large windows which overlook their own private playground. ‘Dog-vision’ webcams allow their owner to monitor their activity 24 hours a day, while climate control ensures they are kept warm.

There will be a sophisticated retina scanner installed at the front door to stop any other dogs getting in – something the Great Danes may view as a bit of a party pooper.

There’s even a spa bath with a saline treatment built in because it’s good for their coats.

The kennel will be about a quarter of the size of the £1.4million main three-bedroom ‘Hedron House’.

It has been designed by leading architect Andy Ramus, and will be built from materials such as zinc, glass and limestone at the estimated cost of £250,000.

The house was designed to produce more energy than it uses, with an underground heat pump, geothermal heating and its own solar and wind power.

Unreal, but very cool!
Sorry about that. These work

Specifically, what is the relationship between the current density and the electric resistance that is present during superconductivity? Any information would be great.

why would it be the best place?

I have a 1973 Fedders unit. The unit didn’t come on and I found the breaker was tripped. I reset the breaker and unit worked fine but breaker was getting hot. The fan and sequencer are working so I have shut it down. Think I should start with breaker replacement? The breaker itself has two switches bridged together that says 100 internal common trip. A label says current interupt rating 120/240v 10,000 amps. And embossed "CU-AL". Any sugestions would be helpful. Thanks
