I have watched a promo at tv this morning about building my own wind generator and that guy seemed to be very convincing, everything was costing about 0 and he was making his own energy at home. Also when he was making something extra it was payed by the energy company so he made something ecologic and also economic.
I wanna know who made this , cause on tv looks very nice but in reality might be different , so did anybody made a domestic wind generator ?If yes how ? or where did you read all the details? Thank you!

the "ace" hardware store in alpena michigan is offering a locally made wind turbine to supplement the power coming into ones home. where do you go to get $ for that?

Wind turbines charging batteries doesnt seem that terribly complicated. Why couldn't a home owner power his house with a number of small wind turbines? Is it just not enough power or is it not financially sound? I don't know much about elictricity or how much it takes to power a home so this may be a silly question.

I have details to build a wind generator which from what I see, the field gets no power and the regulator is not used. Wiring goes from the hot lead at the back of the unit and a ground from the case to an inverter to convert to 110 V AC. Is it even remotely possible that this will produce electricity? To my knowledge you need a charged field for either an alternator or generator to operate.

im writing a paper for school on alternative fuels and power sources and one form is wind power using wind turbines and i saw on a commercial that one wind turbine can power a certain amount of homes so i guess my question is how many houses can one wind turbine power?

I live in MT. I am looking for grants that would help pay for some or all of the cost to build and hook a wind turbine to power my house. The costs for wind turbine are expensive but I would like to try to find alternative energy sources for my home.

Or at least supply 25-50% of my power needs by some renewable source…To me, affordable is K or less…and I lean toward the less.

I want to make a wind power generator so that I can put it on the roof of my home.
Has anybody done this? They seem to be fairly popular now

Any ideas on where to get the motor for cheap? It should be 260 vdc, 5 amps, with a 6'' threaded flywheel. Short of hoping the dump has an old treadmill, where (online possibly) could we purchase one from?
